LEICA SUPER-ELMARIT-R f/2.8 15mm
The
extremely wide viewing angle and the clarity of perspective offered by this
compact ultra-wide-angle lens make it outstandingly well suited for landscape
and architectural work, as well as shooting in tight spaces. Dynamic
perspectives with a dominant foreground are attained by the amazingly wide 111°
image angle diagonal and the ability to focus down 18 cm (7 in) is both
impressive and very useful. The optical design, with internal focusing, consists
of 13 individual lens elements in 10 groups, one of which has an aspherical
surface. The Super-Elmarit provides crisp imaging, is insensitive to flare, and
delivers top-quality pictures even wide open. Its contrast and resolution are
extremely high, so the finest details are sharply rendered resolution all the
way to the edges of the frame. The built-in filter wheel offers 4 filter
choices.
